Welcome! I’m so glad you found your way to my practice’s page.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, living and working in Washington, DC, and working with clients in Maryland and Virginia. Throughout my career, I have focused on supporting people through the most challenging aspects of life, including trauma, grief, stressors of life transitions, ongoing anxiety and depression, and relationship challenges.
I began my work as a clinical social worker in New York City in 2015, after graduating from Columbia School of Social Work. I worked first as a family social worker in a school, then as an individual therapist working within health clinics. After moving to DC in 2019, I found a passion for trauma-focused therapy while working at a youth community center. I started my own practice in 2022.
I incorporate aspects of social work into my work, including a social justice, person-in-environment lens, and an understanding of how your identity and experiences impact the challenges bringing you to therapy. Systems of oppression affect us in different ways, but they often affect our mental health and physical wellness.
I work with teenagers and adults of all ages, as well as focusing a portion of my practice on working with college students and those transitioning out of college.
I am a trauma-focused therapist, meaning I specialize in helping individuals heal from distressing experiences, such as abuse, loss, accidents, or other life-altering events. My main approach uses EMDR, though I also draw from aspects of internal-family systems (IFS), polyvagal theory, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. I believe that healing happens in the context of a trusting relationship, and my goal is to provide an environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued. Therapy is not about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you uncover your strengths, build resilience, and create the life you want.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re interested in working together, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation. Let’s explore how I can support you on your journey.
